JUNGLES TO JUNK

The sound of axes rang down the gorge and woke the echoes from cliffs. The rusted axes ripped the heavy trunks screeching birds flew away in panic, some leaving their nests and young ones. The trees fell down like screaming angels in pain. In no time the trees turned timber, clouds looked like feeble soldiers to the brutal humanity. The dead trees looked helpless into the sky as the clouds were moving away in huge masses. The lush greenery dried pale it never rained, animals marched away in endless numbers. The trees were used to make doors closing the doors of nature.

EMBLEM OF UNDYING LOVE

She was charming young and beautiful,
She hopped and played with friends,
She loved the stars and smiled like me,
She ran behind butterflies, loved puppies,
She was joyful always enjoying her age…….

She came of adult years and tied to a man,
She entered into womanhood bore me in womb,
I felt her heart dance when I kicked within,
I gave her unbearable pain as I came to light,
She shed happy tears holding gazing at me,
She cultivated me by milk cherished of love,
She stayed sleepless all nights admiring at me……

I saw her eyes strain when I was in pain,
She placed me on her precious warm bosom,
Soothed me and comforted me wiping away tears,
She carried me in her arms all around she went,
I was the happiest being as I crawled at her feet,
She for eternity threw a healing smile to me,
She took endless efforts as I hurdled over years…….

After fulfilling all her errands to me,
She entered into her old age making me a woman,
I saw her hair turned grey and skin set wobbly,
Wrinkles cracked on her cheeks as she smiled,
She fell sick her bones went feeble lacked blood,
She lay in bed as the disease ruined her body,
She held her love until her last beat of heart,
She took my palm into hers squeezed hard,
And closed eyes forever……………….

I washed her feet with countless tears
No love purer than mothers love,
No name sweeter than mother’s name.
The sky looks smaller to me,
The oceans are no deeper to me,
The widen deserts aren’t vast to me,
As I have seen enough of my mother’s love.
